Airbrush kits
Airbrush kits offer everything an artist will need to begin experimenting
with the airbrush medium. All kits offer the basics of compressor, paints,
and brushes. Specialized or customized kits may also be available with
more advanced equipment, but the basics are:
• Compressor – This is element that supplies air to the
brushes. It puts the “air” in “air” brushing.
It is because of this item that you are able to spray out the paint
from the brush. This is unique in the art world because it actually
utilizes technology and machinery to express artistic abstracts.
• Paint – Water color is often used as the standard paint
for airbrushing, but it is by far not the only kind of paint that can
be used. Really, any kind of paint – even oil-based – can
be used be purchased in airbrush kits. If you choose to use another
kind of paint, you will usually need to dilute it yourself in order
to create a suitable consistency.
• Canvas – One of the great things about airbrushing is
the fact that you are not constrained by having to use any kind of a
certain canvas or board.
There may be other items that are included in airbrush kits, but these
are probably the main items and the things that are standard.
