Airbrush art
Airbrush art is considered by many to be more of a street art. This
is obvious by the kinds of art created by airbrush artists. They are
not landscapes or portraits like you are accustomed to seeing in art
of the past. Rather, these pieces of art have a bit more of an edge
to them. Even though they are very well executed, they still have some
sort of a sense of roughness about them as well.
While you probably have seen things like airbrushed t-shirts, pottery,
and taxidermy being sold, it is hard to classify an airbrush artist
into one specific category. In all actuality, these artists are usually
trained on another kind of art but gradually move toward airbrushing.
Just a few categories in which airbrushers paint include illustration/fine
art, hobbies and crafts, custom auto/motorcycle graphics, textiles,
cake/food decorating, and tanning/body art.
Many artists feel find airbrushing gives them more freedom in the kind
of art they create. In general airbrush artists are not people who like
to be constrained by set rules. Rather they enjoy expanding their boundaries
and exploring different ways to see the world and express that sight
to others.
